Cambridgeshire supports just one Middle school in the village of Gamlingay. The school, on the Bedfordshire borders is an academy under the name of Gamlingay Village College. It is situated on the borders of Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, where it links closely with the 3-tier system operated in the latter, particularly in the nearby town of Sandy. The school is a feeder school of Stratton Upper School in Bedfordshire and has since become part of the same academy trust.
The school will have its last cohorts of pupils in Years 6 and 8 during 2017-18, before closing in summer 2018.
